Project Overview

This modern backyard in Cypress is built for entertaining. A sleek rectangular pool runs to a raised spillover spa, and a tanning ledge holds in-water loungers. Oversized planter bowls and a linear fire feature line the water's edge.

Across the pool, a flat-roof cabana houses a full outdoor kitchen, a bar with seating and a TV, framed by living-wall greenery. At night, color lighting, fire and a soft landscape glow keep the party going well past sunset.

The Challenge

Create almost invisible deck drains around a modern pool.

What We Did

We hid the linear deck drains under the turf. The turf lines now read as a clean accent in the pool deck finishes, while the drains work hard underneath. It is a small detail that keeps a modern pool design looking clean.
