Project Overview
Dashingly is estate-scale outdoor living on a wooded lot in Tomball, Texas. A long rectangular pool stretches out from the covered terrace, with broad entry steps and a raised spa at the far end.
The pool's geometric lines carry on through raised planters and crisp, light-toned hardscape. A sculptural stucco arch wall frames the motor court, and a full tennis court sits just past the pool. Every part of the yard is set out to match the scale and style of the stone-and-stucco home.
The Challenge
The pool and decking had to be large enough to suit the size of the home. The site also dropped 6’ from the back patio down to the yard, and the budget target was around $400k.
What We Did
We created landscape pockets to reduce the amount of decking and tile, but kept long steps so the lower areas are still easy to reach. Then we broke the pool deck up into separate zones, each with its own purpose.
The result is an outdoor living space that feels expansive as a whole, but cozy in each zone, and a pool and deck that fit the scale of the home.
