Project Overview
This courtyard swimming pool in Sugar Land is designed to feel like part of the house. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass walls open straight onto a warm travertine-style deck, so the pool becomes an extension of the living room.
A raised spa with a mosaic tile wall spills into a crisp rectangular pool, and wide entry steps invite you in. Beyond the courtyard, the pool runs past a broad lawn and the back of the home, balancing a private feel with open space.
The Challenge
Create a simple courtyard pool that can be seen from (3) sides of the home.
What We Did
We designed an elongated lap pool that runs along the home, so it can be seen from all three sides. A shallow ledge gives the grandkids their own spot in the water, a spa at one end works as the focal point, and a water fountain finishes the other end. Simple, elegant and functional.
